January Plans
The Oxford County Democrats will host two Inauguration weekend events to honor our great volunteers and to celebrate the Inauguration of Barack Obama and Joe Biden. The events will be held in Rumford on Saturday, Jan. 17 at the Eagles Hall, 1-3:30, and in So. Paris on Monday, Jan. 19 at Tuscany Hall (former racquetball club on Rt. 26), 4-6:30. Details will be announced, but count on a good time, good food, and chance to celebrate.
There will be a service project in honor of Martin Luther King Day featuring a collection of donations for local food pantries. Please bring non-perishable items or cash.
The January election of officers will be held on Saturday, Jan. 17 at the Eagles Hall following the party. The Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary and Treasurer will be elected for two-year terms. This will be the only business item and an organizational meeting for the 2010 campaign cycle will be held in February.
